Mr. DING Yifan got his Ph. D in Political science from Bordeaux University, France. He has been a visiting scholar at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies in Washington DC, US.
Mr. Ding was deputy director of the Institute of World Development, under the State Council’s Development Research Center. He is now a senior research fellow at the institute. He’s vice-chairman of the China society for world economics, vice-chairman of the China society for France studies.
Mr. Ding authored several books on Globalization, the Euro, Knowledge Based Economy, International Finance, US Global Hegemony’s Paradoxes, the Hegemony of the US Dollar, the Revelation of Sovereign Debts Crisis in the Euro Zone, Beyond Democracy, Ups and Downs of Sino-European Relations, and Chinese Solution Amid Globalization Crisis, etc. He published broadly in English and French in newspapers as well as in academic journals, and wrote articles as independent chapters included in other scholars’ edited books. He is a well-known news commentators for Chinese televisions and newspapers.
